Grammy Family

Dreams Do Come True!!! It’s always been a dream of mine to attend the Grammy Awards Ceremony and this year Thanks to Lil Twist and Cortez Bryant my dreams came true. I found out I was going at the last minute so I kinda got to the show late and missed Beyonce’s performance, but none the less was still grateful to have been in attendance. After the Grammy’s we attended Drake’s Grammy Afterparty……Great Night

Still in LA, That next day (Monday) was my Brutha’s Birthday (Cheyenne), so I went to go see him and his Brutha’s as they shot their EPK for their upcoming sophomore LP Vacancy. I had a great time with them, I don’t see how anyone can hang out with them and not be entertained.

Tuesday was Justin Bieber’s Video shoot for his new single “Baby” at City Walk in LA, that was a great day as well, I got to see a few people that I used to work with at Def Jam (I miss Def Jam)….I like the concept of the video, I’m sure its going to come out AMAZING!!!

Later that night/morning we boarded a plane straight to MIAMI, I Loved Miami the weather was a little hotter than LA and it was easier to get around. Miami consisted of Studio Session, A Party, and running a few errands. CONGRATS to the New Orleans Saints for winning the Super Bowl, goes to show you that its never too late to be a winner!!!!!!!

I feel blessed and I am very humbled and appreciative of everything in life, this experience inspires me to work 100 millions times harder.

Sometime last week I was blessed and fortunate enough to attend Lil Twist & Lil Chuckee 1st video shoot for their single off “We Are Young Money” entitled “Girl I Got You”. The video was shot in one day in Miami, FL. It was a 12 hour shoot and I can honestly say that I know this video is going to be DOPE! Cameos in the video include Lil Wayne, Birdman, Lil Za, Tyga, Mack Maine and Lil Chuckee’s adorable little sister Whitney. I can’t wait for everyone to see the video, both guys worked very hard shooting it. Check Out a clip of Lil Twist & Lil Chuckee performing a part of their scene.

I’m feeling very intimate today so I wanted to open up to my blog readers, Below is a poem that I wrote for a very dear friend of mines. Jacob is a wonderful singer, performer and poet and I hope you all one day are able to read his great work. This poem is dedicated and inspired by Mr. Jacob Harrell

Dear God/Father,

How have you been? I’m soooooooooo excited to tell you about my new friend. I mean of course you know him because he’s one of your greatest creations, its weird when you like a guy based on conversation. He stuck out to me as someone whose different but so familiar, kinda like looking at myself in a full length mirror, seeing everything that I want and need but its only a reflection that I just can’t touch, I don’t know why I think of him so much. He’s very well mannered and he even calls me miss. Dang I hate feeling like this. I mean Father you know me more than anyone else, at times I get excited and ahead of myself. Father, he even writes poetry and his words are like blood because it just flows through me, and then when it reaches my lungs I’d rather inhale his words than exchange them for air. My body felt chills when he touched my hair. If my face was made of stone he could still make me smile, father I haven’t felt like this is a while. But how do I know he’s for real and his words are true, you see I turn to you when I don’t know what to do. Its so many things that make this a sticky situation, take for instance, our locations. He lives in LA and I live in New York but Father when him and I talk……its its its like we’re laying on the beach side by side with our backs in the sand, looking up at the moon as he caresses my hands, and then he wipes off water that splashes on my face. Even though its public I call this our private place. I call this our private place because its alllllllllllllllllll in my head. And I dream about him when I’m alone in my bed. I want to go to sleep so fast at times I forget to put a scarf on my head. I’d just wish one day I could meet him and this could all become true. But I’d just be so nervous I wouldn’t know what to do. Father! He’s so romantic, sweet, talented, and neat, so respectful and grand. He doesn’t have a name so I call him The Perfect Man. Lol. But now I’ve got to get up, I hate to leave him in my dreams, I just feel so ashamed. You know what father, let’s give him a name. Think! Think! Quick of one before I wake up.

Father: Tamara my daughter, your friends name is Jacob.

I LOVE MY LIFE

It’s always important to know where you came from to understand where your going. I Nothing I do would be possible without the love and guidance I received from one lady the commits her LIFE to changing the LIVES of others. Ms Erica Ford!!!! Without the LIFE CAMP I wouldn’t be as focused as I am today. No, no one made me attend this program, the program was just a bunch of teenagers that helped each other better themselves with a lot of learning from each others mistakes. I can’t begin to tell yall how crazy Harlem Lanes was last night…ZOO!!! Everyone had such a great time, it was all love, no violence or fighting what so ever. Just bowling and drinking, this was really a BOWLING PARTY!!! I’m not sure who won the competition but based on everyone’s Twitter they all won…lol I guess well just have to have a REMATCH!!!!
